Your role will be critical in providing supportive and therapeutic care to surgical patients.

This temporary position requires reporting to the Manager of Surgical Services and mandates a focus on both patient care and treatment. Candidates must possess current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have at least two years of recent surgical experience. Responsibilities also include managing venipuncture and IV medications, ensuring patient safety at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver care to surgical patients and assist in recovery

• Conduct assessments and manage IV therapy

• Educate patients on health and safety practices

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Maintain adherence to Brightshores' safety standards

Requirements:

• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Minimum two years of current surgical experience

• Effective communication and problem-solving skills

• BCLS certification required

• Interest in continuous professional education
