As a Registered Nurse in the Surgery Department, you'll report to the Manager of Surgical Services. This role requires surgical experience, physical assessment skills, and the ability to manage patients with various health conditions. Your commitment to patient safety and excellence in care will be essential in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and provide care for surgical patients
• Administer IV medications and establish venipunctures
• Conduct central line care and maintain TPN
• Manage epidural analgesia and PCA pumps
• Escort patients as necessary via ambulance services
Requirements:
• Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Minimum two years surgical experience in the last five years
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development
• Current BCLS certification
