Emergency Registered Nurse

Join Brightshores in Owen Sound as a full-time Emergency Registered Nurse. In this role, you'll provide critical care to patients and support their health through various nursing practices.

This full-time, temporary position lasts until approximately November 2027, reporting to the Manager. You will need to have experience in critical care or an emergency room, alongside essential certifications such as BCLS, ACLS, and PALS. Candidates must demonstrate strong assessment and communication skills for effective patient care and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage critically ill adults, children, and infants

• Utilize evidence-based practices in nursing care

• Mentor new staff and students in clinical settings

• Participate in unit-specific projects and staff meetings

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Registration with the Ontario College of Nurses

• 12-24 months emergency room or critical care experience

• Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills

• Commitment to continuous professional development

• Ability to stay calm in crisis situations
