What

You’ll Do

Under the direction of the Recreation & Leisure Manager, the Activation Student is responsible for supporting the design, coordination, planning, implementation and evaluation of the recreation and restorative program calendar of events that meet all five Health Domains – Physical, Social, Intellectual, Emotional and Spiritual.

Contract Duration: 12 weeks, June to August 2026

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Enrolled in a post‑secondary diploma or degree in Recreation and Leisure, Therapeutic Recreation, Kinesiology or another related field from a community college or university

Skills & Abilities

  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position (stand, walk, porter residents for extended periods)
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact with residents, families, and other staff in a positive and diplomatic manner
  • Available to work weekends, evenings and days
  • Two‑step TB skin test
  • Clean Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check

  • Competitive Salary: $18.10 per hour

    Up to 35
