The Operations Control Specialist will provide confidential administrative support to the Manager, Purchasing & Support Services and provide technical assistance to other key management personnel.
Responsibilities- Learn how to inventory (cycle count)
- Learn manufacturing – rotation in each manufacturing area, able to explain variances
- MS DAX basic functions
- 5S improvements
- Compile statistical and other required reports
- Perform data entry and tracking of operational and process improvement involvement
- Assist with duties and activities relating to ISO, QMS and EMS compliance
- Develop and maintain SOP’s
- Develop understanding of Direct Material Process (DMP) – OWE
- DMP – Packaging & Ingredients
- Monthly forecasts
- Weekly release process
- MRP process
- Develop understanding of Indirect Material Process (IMP) – OWE
- Cap Ex order process, MRO order process and bid process
- Assist with inventory activities (i.e. cycle counting/verifying counts, investigating inventory issues, month end)
- Assist with filing and researching information on Claims / POD’s
- AX implementation to process claims
- Data Entry Logistics
- Dynamics
- Assist with month end close
- Assist w/ Sales and Use Tax reporting
- Serve as an internal auditor and perform internal QMS and EMS audits
- Train with QA Technicians to develop understanding of OPQR process
- Assist in daily departmental responsibilities and duties assigned by Quality Assurance Manager
- Assist with coordinating employee activities, (i.e. employee meetings/meals/off site activities)
- Assist with other HR functions as needed, (i.e. preparing employee new hires and benefits open enrollment packages)
- Assist with mailroom functions and record retention as needed
- Bachelor's degree preferred with concentration in Business Administration, Business Management or Accounting
- Three to five years of administrative and/or operations experience preferred
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and the ability to meet and interact with both internal and external customers
- Excellent computer, oral and written communication and problem-solving skills are required
- Must be able to exercise initiative and make sound decisions within the scope of assigned authority
- Must be able to successfully complete multiple concurrent tasks with strong attention to detail while maintaining confidentiality
