The Gaming Attendant is responsible for providing a safe, enjoyable, and efficient gaming experience for all patrons. This role includes monitoring gaming machines, assisting customers, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, handling cash transactions, and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet patrons in a friendly and professional manner and provide assistance with game rules, machine operation, and general inquiries
Monitor gaming machines for proper operation, promptly report malfunctions, and perform minor troubleshooting when appropriate
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal gaming regulations, including verifying patron age and promoting responsible gaming practices
Accurately handle cash transactions, process payouts, and maintain balanced cash drawers
Maintain cleanliness and organization of gaming areas and perform routine machine maintenance
Coordinate with technicians for major repairs or technical issues
Collaborate with team members, including security and hospitality staff, to ensure smooth operations and an exceptional patron experience
REQUIREDSKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Basic understanding of gaming machines and related technology
Ability to accurately handle cash and financial transactions
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or equivalent required
Previous customer service or gaming industry experience preferred
Must obtain and maintain all required gaming licenses or certifications as mandated by local or state authorities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONSRegularly required to stand, speak, hear, use hands, and reach with hands and arms
Occasionally required to sit
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds occasionally
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
Noise level is moderately quiet in office areas and may be loud on the gaming floor
Potential exposure to cigarette smoke on the gaming floor
