Technician, Relief Logistics

Position: Tech Select

Grade:

Shift: Night D

Summary: Work safely and observe all plant safety, GMP and food safety rules. Responsible for entry level labor duties supporting the production packaging process. Duties include, but are not limited to cleaning floors and equipment, manually loading and unloading raw materials and supplies, providing breaks to operators, operating and monitoring machines, and maintaining simple paperwork.

Daily and As Required:

• Follow all safety and GMP rules to ensure zero accidents and compliance with food safety regulations.
• Perform manual labor supporting continuous operation of production lines, including:
• Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and equipment.
• Loading and unloading equipment, materials, production components, and raw materials.
• Operating production machines to support machine operators and technicians during breaks or absences.
• Learning and applying operational skills for filler and packaging machines to provide relief to operators.
• Operating and maintaining equipment as trained.
• Rotating duties across different locations in the plant as required.

Perform simple quality inspections of products, materials, and ingredients to ensure compliance with standards, maintain records, and perform other duties as assigned. Complete all TPM activities as required.

Relief Tech Certification Levels:

• Relief Tech I – certified on less than 2 work centers
• Relief Tech II – certified on at least 2 work centers
• Relief Tech III – certified on at least 4 work centers

General Requirements:

• Work safely and lift up to 50 pounds independently.
• Perform visual inspections and record data manually or via keyboard.
• Read and understand simple written instructions.
• Perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, standing, and sitting.
• Manipulate hands and fingers for various tasks, including grasping objects and fine movements.
