Window and Door Sales Specialist – Kight Home Center, Carter Lumber

The Window and Door Sales Specialist is responsible for presenting and selling windows and door products, establishing rapport with customers in the community, communicating and training store personnel, and maintaining builder awareness of products. A strong belief in the company’s mission and goals is necessary.

• Previous knowledge and experience in the building materials industry
• Experience selling window and/or door products
• Ability to read blueprints
• Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability
• Excellent communication skills with a strong sense of customer service
• Experience in individual or group training is a plus
• Decision‑making abilities and problem‑solving skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

• Develop customer relationships and determine customer needs.
• Maintain and increase sales of window and/or door products.
• Give presentations to builders and provide expert advice on product features and benefits.
• Prepare estimates and ensure products are ordered and shipped on time.
• Work closely with On‑site Sales Representatives (OSRs) to analyze sales opportunities and assist on the jobsite.
• Keep lines of communication open between store team members and customers to ensure accurate, timely service.
• Meet with vendors to determine direction of store programs.
• Identify personal growth needs and improvement opportunities, obtain product information, and learn about building packages and products.
• Provide training on windows and doors to builders, contractors, and store personnel.
• Ensure employees stay current on vendor programs.
