Job Description
  • Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
  • Plan repair work and prepare cost estimates for customers.
  • Use tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, hydraulic jacks, hammers, and pliers to repair vehicle sections.
  • Repair dents, dimples, and other minor body damage; mix and apply filler resins when necessary.
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
  • Remove damaged sections and replace them with new or aftermarket parts; repair glass and windshields as needed.
  • Replace or repair interior parts as required.
  • Weld and fit parts into place, then prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
  • Attempt to complete work orders within labor time guidelines and inspect vehicles after repair.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education And/or Experience Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Read job orders and work independently.
  • Collaborate with other repairers.
  • Understand methods and procedures for repairing vehicle bodies.
  • Operate required tools effectively.
Other Requirements
  • Work safely in a noisy area with odors.
  • Lift up to 30 pounds at times.
  • Visually inspect vehicle damage in various weather conditions.
  • Bend, stretch, kneel, and squat as needed for repairs and inspections.
