About the job
One of the divisions within Amenity Pool Service, Residential Aquatics, is looking for a full-cycle staff accountant to grow with our businesses. We are looking for a detail-oriented team player to complement our accounting team. To be successful in this position, you should be able to roll up your sleeves and dig into the accounting system and learn as much about the business as possible to better support the operations.

Location and Hours:
- On-site in Owings Mills, Maryland
- Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm / 8:30 – 5:30
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Complete full-cycle accounting activities and maintaining financial records and general ledger accounts
- Be an active contributor to month-end close preparing journal entries and related schedules
- Ensure ledger account reconciliations are up to date
- Prepare supporting schedules for the auditors
- Support the Controller in providing financial analysis of results to our operations
- Continuous improvement of financial processes to drive better insight and efficiency
- Support the Financial Director and other accounting teammates, as necessary, as the business continues to grow
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Trial balance with advanced capabilities entering journal entries
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close processes
- Working knowledge of GAAP & ensuring operations are compliant
- Team player mentality
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong numeracy and analytical skills
- Good problem-solving and time-management skills
- Experience with Workday is a plus
- Experience with Salesforce is a plus
- Proficient in Excel, with advanced skills
