Traffic Engineering Project Manager
Join us at GFT to oversee and deliver high-quality traffic engineering projects.
Responsibilities- Generate scope, schedule, and budget parameters for traffic projects.
- Lead execution of projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
- Participate in interdisciplinary teams alongside other technical disciplines.
- Identify and resolve issues related to performance, including generating supplemental scope, schedule and budget requests.
- Develop and implement QA/QC plans for projects.
- Manage subconsultant performance.
- Assist in business development activities, proposal development, and represent GFT at industry and professional events.
- Lead staff, including mentoring and training.
- Minimum of 6+ years in progressive traffic engineering roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Registered Maryland PE (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Experience in overseeing the development of traffic plans and analyses, coordinating with other disciplines and subconsultants.
- Strong technical, leadership, managerial, and communication skills.
- Existing client relationships and ability to make decisions regarding project development.
- Prior experience leading engineering teams.
- Knowledge of traffic operations, safety, and planning studies.
- Experience with Micro Station and Microsoft Office.
- Expertise with Synchro, Sim Traffic, SIDRA, HCS, CORSIM, or VISSIM.
- Knowledge of HCM, MUTCD, HSM, ITE, and AASHTO manuals.
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting files, site plans, construction drawings, traffic analysis reports.
Salary range: $125,000 - $145,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.
