We’re seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contract assignment in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in Oxford, Alabama. This role offers the opportunity to support patients in their rehabilitation and recovery while working within a collaborative care team.
Location: Oxford, AL
Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Schedule: Full-time (hours may vary by facility)
RequirementsActive Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License (Alabama)
BLS certification (required)
New graduates welcome to apply
SNF experience preferred but not required
Must provide negative COVID test within 72 hours prior to start date (results must be issued 48 hours prior to start)
Must meet standard pre-employment credentialing (background check, drug screen, etc.)
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapy to help patients improve communication and swallowing functions
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient care goals
Document treatment sessions, progress, and outcomes in compliance with facility standards
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and home exercises
