Overview

Ross spends its energy on offering customers high‑quality brands at extraordinary savings. This role supports our team by stocking merchandise efficiently, maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, and helping customers find what they need during the early morning shift.

• Prioritise safety – practise safe behaviours and report unsafe conditions.
• Support customers – greet, assist, and answer questions with a friendly, professional manner.
• Maintain a clean store – sweep, mop, dust, wipe, and replenish restrooms and high‑touch areas.
• Prepare merchandise – receive, size, and recover products; merchandise with speed and accuracy according to best‑practice guidelines.
• Participate in loss prevention – understand the program, observe merchandise protection standards, and follow MOS and disposal procedures.
• Handle store cash and transactions – follow all cash, check, charge card, and refund policies and maintain accurate handling of bankable tenders.
• Show professional appearance – adhere to the company dress code at all times.
• Communicate effectively – keep store leadership informed and follow all marketing, safety, and customer‑service protocols.
• Promote Ross brand integrity – safeguard confidential information and represent the company with honesty and respect.

• Effective verbal communication with customers, associates, and leadership.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.

• Use store equipment such as PDTs, registers, and PCs.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store most of the time.
• Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
• Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
• Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
• Stockroom shifts may require pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 20 pounds.
