The Service Technician is skilled in assembly/disassembly and repair of heavy‑duty equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and servicing mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and components of heavy‑duty equipment. The candidate must supply own tools.

- Has prior experience in heavy‑duty construction or heavy equipment machinery
- If lacking in professional experience, has the drive and will to learn on the job
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Detail‑oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Proficient in mechanical systems (transmissions, hydraulics, engines, etc.)
- Can work in a dynamic, fast‑paced shop environment
- Associate’s degree in Diesel/Hydraulics (experience may be considered in lieu of formal education)
- Desire to improve and advance in the chosen position
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, powertrains and fuel systems and perform repairs under supervision
- Perform basic PM maintenance and parts replacement; remove and install major components with minimal supervision
- Adhere to company safety policies and demonstrate safe and considerate work habits
- Maintain neat and professional appearance and work area
- Possess basic metric and standard mechanical tools
- Accurately follow directions
- Accurately complete all required paperwork for tasks performed
- Have basic computer and typing skills
- Move various types of heavy‑duty equipment to move them in and out of the work area
- Attend and complete factory and regional training schools on specific products as required
- Complete any other duties as assigned
