Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Market Development Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing SEA's market position, product penetration, and profitability within an assigned market. Your role will focus on identifying growth opportunities, executing strategic initiatives, and enhancing brand awareness through strong retail execution and consumer engagement. Success in this role will be determined by your ability to analyze market trends, foster strategic partnerships, and drive favorable retail experiences that support business objectives.
Responsibilities- Meet and exceed all sales and operational KPIs, ensuring continuous market growth.
- Gather and communicate market intelligence and insights to corporate partners to influence strategic decision‑making.
- Develop partnerships with key stakeholders to drive KPIs.
- Analyze reports and identify opportunities to increase revenue and market share within the assigned market.
- Work closely with retail sales associates, managers, and local industry leaders to ensure best‑in‑class merchandising and brand representation at retail locations.
- Facilitate all logistics for large group training sessions for retail sales associates and managers on Samsung products and services.
- Execute national go‑to‑market strategies for all product launches, ensuring seamless integration into the retail environment.
- Collaborate with 3PL partners to address staffing, performance management, and key market initiatives.
- Validate scheduling and workforce alignment with business needs in partnership with the 3PL team.
- Support operational effectiveness by overseeing co‑employment challenges and providing solutions for seamless execution.
- Anticipates future trends and creates solutions based on competitive and consumer insights to drive long‑term business impact.
- Challenges the status quo and articulates a clear vision for future market opportunities.
- Makes sound decisions by considering objectives, risks, and market implications.
- Establishes clear courses of action in a timely manner, leveraging data and market trends.
- Keeps up with current and future policies, practices, and trends within the industry, competition, and marketplace.
- Provides feedback and recommendations on sales strategies, tactics, and resources in response to sales trends and competitor activities.
- Maintains expert‑level knowledge of the mobile industry, including competitor products and market trends, to develop innovative ways to promote Samsung products.
- Adapts training content and engagement strategies to suit different internal and external audiences.
- Partners with 3PL to attract, develop, and retain top talent while fostering trust and accountability.
- Aligns internal teams and 3PL partners for clear delegation, shared KPIs, and seamless execution.
- Conducts store visits to train, coach, and support Field Sales Managers and SECs, ensuring performance excellence.
- Ensures Field Sales Manager and SEC schedules align with business needs and labor budgets, optimizing workforce efficiency in collaboration with 3PL partners.
