We’re looking for an experienced, high‑energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside engineers and designers performing field investigations, inter‑facing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

• Layout and design of HVAC systems
• Development of design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, precise temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and cleanliness requirements for clean‑room applications
• Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
• Development of final design documents, including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, and related systems
• Coordination with other disciplines

Here’s what you’ll need

• Professional Engineering License
• At least ten (10) years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC system design
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
• Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
