Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers)
Join Jacobs to apply as a Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers). This role supports projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.
Base Pay Range$ - $ per year
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of structural engineering analysis.
- Create computer models for structures.
- Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, and preparation of miscellaneous calculations.
- Assist with schedules and coordinate designs with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery.
- Liaise with other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
- Contribute to a diverse engineering team on capital projects of various sizes.
- Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
- Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
- Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
- Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
- Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams.
- Ability to travel to client sites (approx. 10% to 20%).
- Master of Science in Engineering.
- Experience with industrial metals projects (casting, rolling, etc.).
- Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
