Senior Structural Engineer (Data Centers)

Join Jacobs to apply as a Sr Structural Engineer (Data Centers). This role supports projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations.

• Perform a variety of structural engineering analysis.
• Create computer models for structures.
• Perform calculations for member designs and foundations, material take‑offs for estimating, and preparation of miscellaneous calculations.
• Assist with schedules and coordinate designs with internal professionals and design departments for project delivery.
• Liaise with other Jacobs offices domestically and internationally.
• Contribute to a diverse engineering team on capital projects of various sizes.

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8 or more years of professional experience in structural engineering.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the ability to become registered in additional states.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, and S3D.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA or STAAD.
• Knowledge and application of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13, and other industry‑relevant design codes and standards.
• Knowledge and application of Building Codes.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and MS Teams.
• Ability to travel to client sites (approx. 10% to 20%).

• Master of Science in Engineering.
• Experience with industrial metals projects (casting, rolling, etc.).
• Ability to lead teams to deliver commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations.
