Mississippi Blood Services is seeking Donor Technicians at the Oxford, MS location. Donor Technicians work on the front line every day, serving blood donors and assisting them in donating the components needed to save lives. The role is ideal for detail‑oriented, customer‑service focused individuals. Training is provided, and career advancement is based on skills development.
Duties- Provide outstanding customer service to donors in a friendly, supportive, and professional manner.
- Perform all aspects of registration, donor screening, safety procedures, screening for special procedures, and venipuncture accurately and efficiently.
- Effectively manage two donor beds.
- Enter data accurately in a computer system and complete required paperwork.
- Calibrate and maintain equipment cleanliness before and after collection activities.
- Assist in loading supplies and setup/breakdown of mobile units.
- Acquire and maintain current CPR certification.
- Maintain an excellent attendance record.
- Help perform pre‑trip inspections on vehicles.
- Help maintain interior cleanliness of all MBS vehicles.
- Assist in ensuring that all supplies are packed and ready for mobiles.
- Operate MBS vehicles on a PRN basis.
- Attend all required meetings.
- High school graduate or equivalent; stable work history, prior experience or training desirable.
- Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry; a typing test will be required.
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record; a Commercial Driver’s License is highly desirable.
- Ability to meet fluctuating and irregular work schedules with frequent travel, including overnight travel and out‑of‑town mobiles.

- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a friendly, unselfish manner.
- Ability to work closely and accurately within established guidelines, sometimes at a faster than average pace.
- Ability to frequently lift and move equipment and supplies, including up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 110 lbs with assistance.
After the interview process is complete, candidates will be instructed to visit their local WIN Job Center to complete a typing test.
