Job Summary
Develops, administers, manages, and implements all nursing and related patient care activities for areas of accountability. Works in close collaboration with the nursing team to meet and support diverse organizational business initiatives and strategies. Responsibilities include standardization of systems, identification of efficiencies, financial oversight for nursing programs and services, integration of performance improvement strategies, and support of strategic nursing business initiatives.
The role fosters patient, physician, and employee satisfaction, and collaborates with all hospital departments to operationalize nursing integration, service line development, and standardized nursing practice. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Contributes to the development, implementation, and improvement of care delivery models and services that support the continuous enhancement of care delivery and satisfaction for patients, families, employees, and providers.
- Applies the values of the nursing organization and ensures compliance with the Nursing Practice Acts, nurses’ rights, and regulatory and professional standards.
- Fosters transparency, interdisciplinary collaboration, and accountability in the area of responsibility.
- Enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, nursing services administration, and the delivery of services.
- Optimizes resource allocation to support current and potential objectives and initiatives.
- Manages a multidisciplinary workforce that provides clinically competent, efficient, and compassionate care and services in a professionally challenging environment.
- Experience: Minimum required: 3 years in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership skills.
- Education: Minimum required:
Bachelor’s degree. - Special
Skills:
Minimum required:
Knowledge of health‑care issues, trends, legal compliance, and managed care with an emphasis on all components and nursing operations. Preferred:
Specialty certification. - Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN).
- Certification: BLS certification within 14 days of hire; RN status required.
