Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Chemical Facility Patrol in Oxford, MS
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. As a Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.
You will monitor and patrol designated areas, deter security‑related incidents, and maintain a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing outstanding customer service and communication, and act with integrity.

- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter areas of the chemical or petrochemical location to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor for unusual or suspicious activity during patrols and report findings in accordance with site protocols.
- Assist with access control by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site procedures.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with Allied Universal management and/or client representatives regarding incidents or issues at the location.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. - A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
