Maintenance Millwright

The purpose of this position is to perform preventative maintenance, install machinery and equipment in industrial establishment.

• Start up boiler, blow down once daily, and check press and water levels.
  
  Change all charts on temperature and humidity controls.
• Check oil in air compressor. Repair air compressor, such as replacing bad valves, gaskets, governors. Read gas meters, water meters, calibrate temperature controls, such as bearings, shaft, etc.
• Pull motors, change and repair valves, gaskets, worn out parts, etc. Repair fans on roof, replace bearings, belt, worn parts, etc. Repair pumps and gear boxes.
• Performs Inspections. Clean up work area daily. Operate fork lift to load and unload equipment. Fill out work orders, material requisitions and get signatures to authorize purchases.
• Perform carpenter duties as needed. Use drills, saws, grinders, pipe wrenches, threading machines.
• Assembles machines, and bolts, welds, rivets, or otherwise fastens them to foundation or other structures.
• Replace lights, fuses. Perform general electrical work, change solenoids, run water, air piping, etc.
• Comply with Environmental, Quality, Health, Safety & 5S objectives, polices & programs, and relevant procedures.
• Performs other position-related duties as assigned.

• Associate's degree (A.
  
  A.) or equivalent from college or technical school;
• 6 to 12 months of related experience and/or training; or,
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
