Camp Director

The Camp Director demonstrates a heart to make disciples of Jesus through the ministry of Camp Oak Hill Summer Camp, speaking and engaging elementary through college students with the Word of God. Colossians 1:28 is the heart of this role. “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.”

The center piece of this ministry occurs during the 8-weeks of summer camp where children and teens can begin or grow in faith in God, to choose character over fame, to live in community, to take healthy risks in a safe environment with positive role models, and to learn scripture and skills to be practiced over a lifetime of walking with Jesus.

Steward Leadership is important in ministry through the spiritual development and equipping of the summer staff and the implementation of a creative and engaging program for the campers. Camp must provide a well-orchestrated, safe environment where the summer staff work together to provide a Christ-Centered camp experience.
