Safety & Health Coordinator

In support of our client, a global automotive supplier is seeking a Safety & Health Coordinator to add to their team for a long-term contract assignment. This is an entry level H&S role assisting with all safety and health related activities for the facility, including promoting and supporting line-driven safety processes to help achieve the plant’s safety and business objectives.

This is a long-term 12+ month contract opportunity in Oxford, NC.

Role Responsibilities:

Assists in the development and implementation of a comprehensive safety management system Assists in tactical follow-up and status reporting of outstanding audit, assessment and action items as assigned. Coordinates industrial hygiene activities and works closely with safety and maintenance to document and retain applicable tracking records. Implements improvements to safety programs, training, tracking and management systems Helps coordinate the ergonomics program including risk identification and countermeasures Assist plant engineering project managers with contractor ISN requirements Shares knowledge effectively within the work team.

Cooperates with and works effectively with colleagues, plant staff and external associates Technical Expertise:
Possess a basic understanding of all federal, state, and local government regulations related to health, safety and industrial hygiene Possesses some understanding of the basics of chemistry and toxicology Typical Challenges Addressed:
