You will work directly with machine operators, setup technicians, and production supervisors to ensure tooling is always available, accurate, and in optimal condition.

If you enjoy a mix of hands‑on mechanical work, inventory control, and supporting fast‑paced fabrication operations, this role is a strong fit.

  • Perform basic cleaning, deburring, and maintenance tasks on turret tooling.
  • Send tools out for sharpening, regrinding, or replacement as needed.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and restocking.
  • Organize the tool crib according to 5S standards and maintain a clean, safe environment.
  • Communicate with operators, supervisors, and purchasing regarding tool condition, shortages, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to tool life, downtime reduction, and material flow.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report any issues or hazards immediately.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with CNC turret punch presses, sheet metal tooling, or machine shop operations is a strong plus.
Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other basic measuring instruments.
  • Comfort working with ERP/MRP systems for inventory and tool tracking.
  • Forklift experience or certification preferred (or willingness to be trained).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, read job travelers, and interpret tooling information.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing floor and tool crib setting with moderate noise, moving machinery, and handling of metal tooling.
  • Must follow all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Hours typically run from 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Thursday with occasional overtime based on production needs.
