Seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join talented team providing care to women northeast of Durham, NC.
Position Summary/Duties:- Mon-Fri, 8am - 5pm
- Will provide obstetric care from the new obstetric visit throughout pregnancy and including the postpartum visit as follows:
- Complete the new obstetric exam with identification of any problems complicating pregnancy or pre-existent to pregnancy.
- Initiate plan of care/diagnostic testing/interpretation of labs/treatment plan based on individual patient medical/surgical history.
- Provide patient education relating to pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum care.
- Perform FHR assessment, NST interpretation, cervical exam for labor assessment.
- Provide comprehensive care and support to low-risk laboring patients, ensuring a safe and positive childbirth experience.
- Will be responsible for management of gynecological patients for routine care and/or treatment of common gynecological problems including but not limited to:
- All methods of family planning and counseling for reproductive life planning.
- Routine Well Woman Exams and Pap Smears.
- Screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections.
- Treatment for symptoms of Menopause/perimenopause.
- Postmenopausal bleeding.
- Pelvic/abdominal pain.
- Routine Postoperative follow up and problem visits.
