Senior Helpers is hiring a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a 13‑week contract assignment at 1038 College St, Oxford, NC 27565.
Base Pay Range$33.00/hr – $33.00/hr
About the RoleAs an LPN/LVN, you will provide skilled nursing services under the direction of a registered nurse or medical doctor. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, and patient education while maintaining a therapeutic environment. The work may take place in hospitals, long‑term care facilities, psychiatric hospitals, developmental disability centers, or public health facilities.

- Completion of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
- Current and unencumbered license in the state of practice.
- At least one year of experience in the last three years.
- Physical fitness to perform job duties (may require an employment physical).
- Work sites vary; exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials.
- Ability to read medical equipment and documents.
- Required to move and transport patients.
- Assist with medical equipment and carts.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Comply with ATC Healthcare Services policies and procedures.
- Perform nursing acts, functions, or tasks under delegation or supervision of a registered nurse, physician, or mid‑level provider.
- Administer nursing procedures per care plans (e.g., sterile dressing, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, tube feeding, oxygen therapy, range of motion, catheterization, diabetic care).
- Set up prescribed medications per patient care plans.
- Administer medications orally, intramuscularly, or subcutaneously.
- Monitor medication effects and record patient reactions.
- Assist in rehabilitation programming and activities for residents (e.g., social skills development, daily living skills, reality orientation, recreational skills).
- Record treatments and monitor patient health.
- Transport patients to procedures.
- If IV certified, perform limited IV tasks as permitted.
- Maintain confidentiality under HIPAA.
- Provide patient care in a non‑judgmental, culturally sensitive manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
