Sales Associate

Join Hibbett as a Sales Associate. This role is based in Oxford, NC and focuses on providing outstanding customer service and driving sales in a dynamic retail environment.

Location: Oxford, NC
Compensation: $9.00 per hour
Reports To: Store Manager

• Deliver extraordinary customer service by assisting customers as they enter the store and during peak periods, as outlined in the Customer Service Manual.
• Promote and sell merchandise and services using product knowledge from the Product Knowledge Manual.
• Set and track personal sales goals, consistently aiming to exceed sales targets and improve selling skills.
• Uphold company policies, procedures and standards as described in the Operations Policy Manual, Personnel Policy Manual, Visual Manual and Customer Service Manual.
• Assist in daily store operations: complete work lists, clean‑up lists, weekly shipments and general store maintenance.
• Identify and communicate merchandise needs, pricing concerns and operational issues to store management.
• Attend all staff meetings and training sessions.
• Protect company assets by enforcing internal controls and notifying management of potential fraud risks.

• 0-2 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Self‑starter with initiative; able to take on important tasks without prompting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Team‑player passionate about customer service and merchandise sales.
