Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional – Unarmed Healthcare Patrol in Oxford, NC
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a positive experience for all visitors and staff. This is a driving position, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties.

- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the healthcare location’s operations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related issues to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership as required.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and supporting visitor management procedures.
- Support the healthcare location’s policies and procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
- Document incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client site protocols.
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Experience providing customer service is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, which is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
