The position involves teaching social psychology courses at the undergraduate and graduate level, maintaining an active program of research, advising undergraduate and graduate students, and providing service to the department and institution. Consideration may be given to candidates with strong ability to contribute expertise to the social psychology of health and well-being, the unifying theme of the social psychology program at Miami University. Particular consideration may be given to applicants whose research focuses on social determinants of health, including social connectedness, prejudice and discrimination, socioeconomic status, health behavior engagement, and emotion/motivation, among others.
