Lead Pharmacy Technician SummaryThe Lead Pharmacy Technician performs, under supervision of the pharmacy manager, a variety of technical duties related to the preparing and dispensing of drugs according to standard procedures and partners with the pharmacy manager to lead and train the pharmacy technicians.
A Day in the Life- Prescription
processing - perform technical duties of data entry, counting medication, and selling prescriptions to patients in accordance under the supervision of the pharmacist on duty - Customer service - give our patients excellent customer service on the phone and at the counter. Assist the pharmacy manager as needed to handle any customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Lead by example - be an excellent example of what great looks like in all aspects of how a pharmacy technician should work including, attendance, dress code, customer service, work ethic, work relationships and by following all policies and procedures
- Training - Partner with the pharmacy manager to train all new pharmacy technicians in all job functions and retrain current pharmacy technicians as needed
- Immunizations - give immunizations under the supervision of the pharmacist on duty
- Administrative tasks - under the direction and supervision of the pharmacy manager, perform administrative tasks within the scope of the applicable rules and laws, to assist the pharmacy manager
- Performs all other duties and tasks as assigned.

Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have the ability to gain knowledge of current practice management system, electronic medical record, Microsoft Word, text paging, Internet, and Intranet.
Certi?cates, Licenses, Registrations- National Pharmacy Technician Certi?cation
- Ohio Board of Pharmacy Technician License
- Immunization Certi?cation
- CPR Certi?cation
- 3 years of practice as a nationally certi?ed pharmacy technician
