- Preparing corporation tax returns and self assessment tax returns
- Handling VAT returns and advising on VAT treatment
- Managing your files from start to finish, producing work that is ready for partner review with minimal rework
- Building strong client relationships, managing expectations, and communicating proactively
- Mentoring and supporting the development of junior team members
- Staying current with regulatory changes, including MTD for Income Tax
- Contributing to the practice's growth by identifying opportunities to add value for clients
This is a senior, hands on role. You’ll have autonomy over your workload and direct client relationships, and we’ll look to you to lead by example on quality and client service.
Essential What we’re looking for- ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualified (full membership, not affiliate status)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice
- Strong year end accounts preparation experience across a range of entity types
- Confident preparing corporation tax computations and self assessment tax returns
- Solid understanding of VAT, including for non-VAT registered clients
- Able to manage a portfolio with minimal supervision and take ownership of files from start to finish
- Clear, professional communication with clients and colleagues
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
- Experience with cloud based accounting and practice management software
- Experience with MTD for Income Tax
- Exposure to SEIS/EIS, director loan accounts, and s455 tax
- Salary of £50,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
- Individual performance bonus of up to 5%
- A genuine long term career path in a growing practice
- Bupa private health insurance
- Company pension
- Life insurance
- Free on site parking at Frilford Heath Golf Club
- Regular team socials and client events
- A relaxed, supportive environment where your experience is valued and your input shapes how we grow
