Assistant Accountant

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join a growing and supportive business. Working as part of an established finance team, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting day-to-day accounting operations, and contributing to the continued success of the organisation.
• Responsibilities Posting and allocating customer receipts, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly
• Performing regular bank reconciliations Managing the sales ledger, including customer accounts with complex billing arrangements
• Overseeing the purchase ledger and processing supplier payments accurately and on time
• Maintaining and updating the general ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Liaising with colleagues across the business to gather financial information and resolve queries Supporting the Finance Manager with additional finance and administrative duties as required
• About You Minimum of 3 years' experience within an accounting or finance role AAT Level 3 qualified or above
• Strong working knowledge of accounting systems, with Sage 200 experience advantageous
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
