Main duties of the job
The role supports the business function of the Continuously Care team by managing financial reconciliation, query handling, and maintaining relationships with care providers.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist with financial management of Direct Payments and Funded Nursing Care (FNC) for adults and children, including validation and reconciliation of payments, and preparation of payment queries.
- Input and maintain data in database systems to enable timely disbursement of Direct Payments, following NHS Standing Financial Instructions.
- Support preparation and validation of retrospective payments, payment adjustment reports, and monthly payment schedules.
- Act as primary point of contact for local care providers, maintaining professional relationships.
- Provide administrative support such as answering telephone calls, handling messages, sorting post & emails, organising meetings, and preparing letters, minutes and reports.
- Process complaints, comments and suggestions in accordance with policy and escalating when required.
- Monitor office supplies and ensure timely replenishment, demonstrating office system procedures to new staff.
- Work independently, prioritising workload and meeting deadlines, while showing flexibility and adaptability.
- Carry out any other delegated duties or tasks as required by the line manager.
Initially the position will be hired through Thames Valley ICB with an expected transfer to Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust on 1 September 2026 under TUPE/CoSOP regulations, or employment directly with FHFT if the start date is on or after that date.
Person specificationQualifications
- NVQ level 3 in a relevant subject, or equivalent qualification, or significant equivalent experience.
Knowledge & Experience
- Experience in an administrative/office environment with computerised data systems.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection.
