The Role

The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for staff and visitors, ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience through face‑to‑face interactions and telephone communications. The role works closely with the Facilities Manager and job share partner to handle queries, manage the reception email account, and coordinate visitor bookings and parking logistics.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Facilitate large‑scale mailings via the Royal Mail online system.
  • Manage publications on behalf of the Communications team.
  • Monitor and replenish stationery supplies.
  • Produce access cards for new team members and contractors.
  • Support the Facilities Manager with café coffee machine and food ordering as needed.
Coverage Requirements

The role requires full‑time coverage during annual leave and the other job share post holder’s absences to ensure continuous operation of the reception area.

About You
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies and learn database management.
  • Independent, confident, and supportive team member.
  • Open to training as a First Aider/Fire Marshal.
  • Right to live and work in the United Kingdom.
