About the Role
This role is one of two Administrative Support Officers at the Oxfordshire Museum Service who, as a team, will provide financial and administrative support to the whole Museum Service. This includes but is not limited to reporting on income and expenditure, the procurement of goods and services and generating invoices. The Administrative Support Officer is also responsible for supporting the monitoring of budgets and providing the Museum Service team with performance data.
The role will support the organisation and planning of events across the Museum sites. This can include working with external service providers, schools, visitors and members of the Oxfordshire County Council.

About youThe successful applicant will have experience working in administration and financial processes. They will be well organised, have an eye for detail and be able to prioritise diverse requests.
They will be a confident user of Microsoft packages, especially Microsoft Excel. Oxfordshire County Council use several IT packages for its finance and administration, so you will need to be interested in learning new skills.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, who is willing to support their colleagues sometimes stepping outside of their role to help the Museum Service achieve its ambitions.
The successful candidate will feel comfortable engaging with members of the public, business partners and colleagues at Oxfordshire County Council and colleagues within the Museum service, via phone, written communication and face to face.
