Working within a fast-paced London office that forms part of a global business, this is a role for someone who thrives on variety, takes genuine pride in their work and understands that it’s the smallest details that make the biggest difference. My client is looking for a polished, proactive and naturally personable Receptionist with excellent instincts and a genuine passion for service.
You will be someone who takes ownership, remains calm under pressure and consistently looks for ways to go above and beyond. Duties:
Welcome clients, guests and VIPs with warmth, professionalism and discretion. Manage meeting room bookings, coordinating timings, capacity, AV requirements and last-minute changes seamlessly. Coordinate catering, room set-ups and presentation standards in partnership with the housekeeping team. Manage a busy switchboard, ensuring every call is handled promptly and professionally. Support video conferencing and work closely with IT to resolve any technical issues.
Arrange couriers and taxis, while helping to ensure the office remains fully stocked and runs smoothly. Welcome and host overseas visitors, arranging building access and ensuring every guest receives a first-class experience. Take responsibility for fire safety and first aid duties as a trained Fire Marshal and First Aider. Support the wider office environment, including managing supplier relationships and assisting the EA team where required.
Experience:
3 years’ Front of House experience , ideally within financial services, investment banking or another blue-chip corporate environment. Proven experience meeting and greeting high-profile clients, senior executives and VIPs. Immaculate presentation, exceptional communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Confidence coordinating with colleagues and visitors across different global time zones.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Exceptional discretion, sound judgement and a highly solution-oriented approach. A genuine passion for delivering outstanding service and creating a welcoming, professional environment.
