Vehicle Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise-approved car dealership in Oxford, for the position of Vehicle Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and experienced motor trade professional to join a busy Service Department. Benefits:

Salary between £30,000 and £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience
Performance-related bonus scheme with on-target earnings around £38,000 to £40,000+ plus overtime at time-and-a-half rate
No Saturdays required, working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:00am to 4:30pm on Friday

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs on vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards
Accurately identify faults and provide detailed reports on vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance to the Service Manager
Ensure compliance with health & safety and work quality procedures
Maintain high standards of workmanship within a stringent dealer environment
Work efficiently towards team targets
An active MOT licence and experience with electric vehicles would be advantageous but are not essential

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Fully qualified Vehicle Technician with IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Several years’ post-qualification technical experience preferred
UK driving licence with minimal points
Commitment to quality workmanship and excellent team collaboration
Ability to produce high-quality work consistently
Motivated individual with a professional attitude
An MOT licence and experience with electric vehicles are highly desirable but not mandatory
