Emotional Support Worker – Oxford

We are an outstanding school in Oxford looking to employ an Emotional Support Worker to start in January. The role involves providing direct support and assistance to students with additional needs, including autism, ADHD, OCD, school avoidance, stress and anxiety.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1‑to‑1 or small group assistance to students.
• Implement interventions to help children cope with emotions.
• Support classroom running by setting up lessons, preparing materials and maintaining a tidy and inviting environment.
• Supervise and manage general classroom behaviour.
• Adapt approach to meet individual education and health care plans.

Qualifications and requirements

• Eligibility to work in the UK (no sponsorship offered).
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Kind, compassionate, proactive and able to take initiative.
