Foreman, Construction, Construction Manager​/ Foreman

Overview

We are partnered with a family-run construction company based in Oxfordshire, specialising in the restoration of heritage buildings and the development of high end new builds. The team takes great pride in maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship and delivering projects that preserve the unique character of historical properties while also meeting the modern-day needs of our clients.

• Manage and supervise site teams, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and to specification.
• Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, including coordinating trades, materials, and resources.
• Maintain high safety and quality standards on site, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Liaise with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and that project goals are met.
• Assist in the delivery of both heritage restoration and new build projects, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.
• Monitor project timelines and assist in meeting deadlines.
• Help resolve on-site issues, ensuring minimal disruption to workflow.

• Proven experience as a Working Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
• Strong background in heritage restoration or experience working on historical buildings.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• A hands-on approach to work and the ability to problem-solve on-site.
• A strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings.
• Preferably from a Carpentry background
• SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid Certificate (preferred).
• A valid UK driving licence.
