About The Role
Balfour Beatty is seeking an experienced Foreman / Supervisor to join our Regional Civils team working on the Lodge Hill Highways Project in Oxford. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the safe and efficient delivery of a high‑profile highways scheme, supporting our commitment to operational excellence and right‑first‑time delivery.
You will be responsible for supervising site activities, coordinating labour and plant, and ensuring works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards.
What you'll be doingAs a Foreman/Supervisor you will
- Supervise day‑to‑day site operations and coordinate direct labour and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely in line with Balfour Beatty procedures and statutory requirements.
- Deliver works to programme while maintaining high standards of quality and workmanship.
- Brief teams through toolbox talks, daily briefings and task briefings.
- Monitor progress, identify issues and elevate where required.
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications and method statements.
- Support the Site Manager with planning, reporting and site documentation.
- Promote a positive safety culture and lead by example on site.
- Proven experience as a Foreman or Supervisor on highways or civil engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of safe systems of work and construction best practice.
- The ability to lead, motivate and manage site teams effectively.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Relevant SMSTS or SSSTS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- CSCS card (Supervisor level or above).
