Overview
A national property consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join its Oxford team. This Building Surveyor role offers the opportunity to deliver a wide range of professional surveying services, including condition surveys, defect analysis, party wall work, dilapidations, and reinstatement cost assessments. The Building Surveyor will work with multiple clients across commercial, retail, and educational sectors, supporting project delivery while developing core Building Surveyor skills.
This position provides a clear progression path toward senior surveyor and beyond.
The successful Building Surveyor will be joining a growing surveying team within a national consultancy. The Oxford office manages key client accounts and delivers professional building surveying services across varied national property portfolios. This Building Surveyor role is aligned with business growth and team development.
The RoleAs the Building Surveyor, you will provide technical support across projects while liaising with clients, contractors, and internal teams. You will assist with project management, prepare documentation, and support the delivery of professional surveying services.
The role will include:
- Leading and developing project briefs in conjunction with clients and senior colleagues
- Establishing and maintaining client relationships
- Producing designs, specifications, and tender documentation
- Administering JCT building contracts
- Undertaking condition surveys, defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, and reinstatement cost assessments
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and other consultants
You will be a motivated and client-focused Building Surveyor with experience in commercial, retail, or educational properties. Applications from candidates without a construction or surveying background will not be considered.
Requirements- Experience advising on commercial, retail, or educational properties in the public or private sector
- Competence with NBS Chorus is desirable but not essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Excellent communication and commercial awareness
- £55,000 - £65,000
