The Opportunity

A respected Oxfordshire main contractor specialising in high-end residential construction is looking to appoint an experienced Site Manager or Project Manager for a £4 million bespoke private residence. This is a standout opportunity for a Site Manager in Oxford who thrives on delivering architecturally unique homes with exacting quality standards.

The business is well known for delivering premium one-off houses, heritage refurbishments, luxury extensions and country estate developments across Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds. Their projects are design-led, detail-driven and require a Site Manager who values craftsmanship and precision.

The Project You will take full responsibility for delivering a £4m bespoke new-build home, featuring:

• A high-quality architectural design
• Complex detailing, structural elements and premium materials
• High-spec finishes and bespoke joinery
• Specialist subcontract packages
• External works and landscaping to complement the new home

This is a flagship scheme, offering the chance to lead a project that will showcase exceptional workmanship and client service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site delivery for the £4m bespoke house
• Manage subcontractors, specialist trades and high-value suppliers
• Oversee build quality, sequencing and day-to-day site operations
• Coordinate with architects, engineers and interior designers
• Drive programme management and maintain accurate site records
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and building regulations
• Resolve technical and design queries proactively
• Represent the contractor in client progress meetings

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience as a Site Manager or Project Manager delivering high-end residential projects
• Strong background working on bespoke homes, listed buildings or architect-led designs
• Excellent understanding of premium finishes, structural detailing and craftsmanship
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to manage demanding clients with professionalism
• SMSTS, CSCS (Manager) and First Aid desirable
