Finishing Manager

We are seeking an experienced Finishing Manager to join a leading Tier 1 construction contractor on a prestigious project in Oxford. This is an immediate requirement for an initial 3-month contract, overseeing the final stages of a major construction scheme and ensuring a high-quality handover to the client.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all finishing and snagging activities across the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and to the required quality standards.
• Drive programme completion and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure all defects are identified, recorded, and closed out efficiently.
• Liaise with site management, design teams, and client representatives.
• Oversee health and safety compliance within finishing trades.
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities.
• Produce and manage snagging schedules and completion reports.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Finishing Manager on large-scale construction projects.
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance, snagging, and handover processes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and coordinate finishing trades effectively.
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification preferred.
• Available for an immediate start.
