What is the role?As Ductwork Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of ductwork installation from pre‑construction through to project handover. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of ductwork installation projects from pre‑construction through to handover.
- Plan and coordinate site activities, labour, materials, and plant to meet programme deadlines.
- Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and wider construction teams.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
- Lead and supervise site teams, including supervisors, installers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
- Monitor site progress and provide regular reporting on programme performance, risks, and key milestones.
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain productivity.
- Manage quality control processes, inspections, testing, and snagging activities.
- Maintain strong onsite relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders, representing the business professionally at all times.
- Proven experience managing DW144 and fire‑resisting ductwork installation projects.
- Strong understanding of ventilation systems, ductwork fabrication, and installation methods.
- Experience working on major construction projects within sectors such as commercial, healthcare, data centres, life sciences, or industrial environments.
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations, with SMSTS or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
