Role:
- Take full responsibility as the lead on-site manager for the successful delivery of a 6-unit residential development from inception through to handover.
- Manage and coordinate all daily site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Lead and supervise subcontractors, labour, and site teams, ensuring productivity and performance targets are achieved.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures, carrying out site inspections, inductions, and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Monitor and manage construction programmes, identifying potential delays and implementing solutions to maintain project timelines.
- Carry out regular quality inspections to ensure all works meet company standards, building regulations, and NHBC requirements.
- Coordinate deliveries, materials, and site logistics to ensure efficient site operations.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, local authorities, and senior management, providing regular progress updates and reporting on site performance.
- Proven experience working as a Site Manager, with experience delivering residential housing developments and leading projects through to completion.
- Demonstrable experience managing and delivering multiple housing units simultaneously, ideally within traditional build or timber-frame residential developments.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, programming, and coordinating trades to achieve programme targets.
- Experience overseeing all site activities including health & safety, quality control, subcontractor management, and programme delivery.
- Strong understanding of NHBC standards, building regulations, and residential construction processes.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to lead as the primary site representative and manage all on-site operations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and senior management.
- Relevant qualifications including SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid certification, with additional qualifications being advantageous.
