The Role

Are you a proven Commercial Manager or ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor ready to step up and run the full commercial function of a project?

We are recruiting a Commercial Manager to take end-to-end commercial ownership of a £30m major infrastructure project in North Oxfordshire. Unlike roles that restrict you to managing isolated work packages, this position gives you overall commercial control of the entire project, reporting directly to a Senior Commercial Manager as part of a high-performing site team.

Key Responsibilities

Project-Level Ownership:
Lead and manage the commercial function across the full project life-cycle, driving commercial governance, risk management, and profitability.

NEC Contract Management:
Oversee contract administration, variations, compensation events, and cash flow maximisation under NEC contract frameworks.

Subcontractor & Cost Management:
Lead subcontractor procurement, account valuations, and final account negotiations to control costs and mitigate risk.

Financial Reporting & Forecasting:
Deliver accurate commercial forecasting, budgeting, cash flow reporting, and risk schedules directly to senior stakeholders.

Team Leadership:
Manage, mentor, and develop junior members of the site commercial team.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Criteria :

Commercial Leadership:
Extensive experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within an M&E / MEP environment.

Full Project

Experience:

Proven track record of managing overall project commercial performance, rather than just single work packages.

Contract Expertise:
Expert working knowledge of NEC contracts.

Qualifications:

Degree, HNC, or equivalent industry experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management.

Base Salary:
Up to £108,000
