We are currently working with an established main contractor who is looking to appoint a Health & Safety Advisor to support their construction projects across Oxford and the surrounding area.

The successful candidate will work closely with site teams and senior management to ensure projects are delivered in line with company procedures, current legislation and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety reviews.

* Provide Health & Safety advice and guidance to site teams.

* Ensure compliance with company policies, CDM regulations and relevant legislation.

* Review RAMS and other site Health & Safety documentation.

* Assist with inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.

* Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and ensure appropriate actions are implemented.

* Promote a positive Health & Safety culture across projects.

* Liaise with Project Managers, Site Managers and subcontractors regarding Health & Safety matters.

* Produce reports and maintain accurate Health & Safety records.

* Support the implementation and continuous improvement of company H&S procedures.

Requirements

* Previous Health & Safety experience within the construction industry.

* Experience working for a main contractor would be advantageous.

* NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification.

* Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations.

* Strong communication skills and confidence working with site teams and senior management.

* Full UK driving licence preferred.
