Senior Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic team within the construction sector based in Oxfordshire or the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from initial calculations to final figures. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and to the required standards.

This role requires strong commercial awareness, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to prepare detailed cost plans, valuations, and reports. You will also be involved in risk management and contract administration, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Cost planning and budgeting Contract administration and management Strong negotiation and communication skills Risk management and value engineering Knowledge of construction methods and materials Ability to prepare detailed cost reports and valuations Understanding of procurement processes Experience in project cost control and forecasting Familiarity with pharmaceutical or healthcare sector requirements Attention to detail and strong organisational skills Software/Tools:
Microsoft Excel and Word CostX, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software AutoCAD (desirable) Project management software (e.g. MS Project) Certifications & Standards: RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) membership or working towards Knowledge of ISO standards relevant to construction and healthcare environments (desirable) Please send CVs to
