Job Description & How to Apply Below
Tired of chasing claims and fighting over every variation? My client is a well-established regional main contractor with roots going back to the 1960s and a construction division turning over around £80m. Clients describe them as collaborative and not claims-conscious, which means repeat work, healthy margins and a far more enjoyable commercial role.
They're growing in the Oxford region and want a Quantity Surveyor to take ownership of projects across science and innovation campuses, education, industrial and distribution, healthcare and leisure.
Why you'll want this one- Full ownership of your projects, from pre-start to final account
- A steady pipeline of interesting, high-profile schemes around Oxford
- A friendly, straightforward culture where your input is valued
- A clear path to Senior QS and Commercial Manager
- Company bonus scheme, group life insurance and a strong package
- Procuring and placing subcontract packages
- Running CVRs, cost reports and forecasts
- Handling valuations, variations and subcontractor payments
- Working side by side with the site and contracts teams
- QS experience with a main contractor
- Solid knowledge of JCT contracts
- A degree or HNC in Quantity Surveying, or equivalent experience
- You live within reach of Oxford
