Job Description & How to Apply Below
This can be for 3-5 days per week, but you must be available in the office every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for fit sessions and technical pack development.
The Role:
Lead fit sessions alongside the Buying and Design teams, providing clear technical guidance and fit comments. Create and manage detailed technical packs, ensuring accurate and consistent information is communicated to suppliers and factories. Oversee garment construction, pattern cutting, fitting and grading across womenswear product areas. Ensure consistent fit, quality and product standards across occasion wear and daywear collections. Work across a variety of fabrications, including woven fabrics, jersey and tailoring.
Support and manage junior members of the technical team. Analyse test reports, advise on garment care and ensure products meet required testing and safety standards. Investigate and resolve quality control issues, monitoring returns and identifying opportunities to improve product quality. Build strong relationships with suppliers and factories, ensuring technical requirements are clearly communicated and deadlines are met. Work closely with Buyers and Designers to improve sample hit rates and ensure the final product meets the brand's quality expectations.
About You:
Proven experience at Senior Garment Technologist level within womenswear. Strong technical knowledge across occasion wear and daywear, with experience in woven fabrics, jersey and tailoring. Excellent understanding of garment construction, pattern cutting, fit, grading and quality control. Confident leading fit sessions and communicating technical requirements to internal teams and external suppliers. Experience creating technical packs and managing product standards. Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working to tight deadlines.
A proactive and confident communicator, able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment. BH37719
